3 Things We Learned: Airbus UK Broughton 1-0 Llandudno. Wingmakers Win JD Cymru North Title.

Airbus UK Broughton have won the JD Cymru North title, following a 96th minute winning goal from youngster Brady McGilloway, in his first appearance of the season.

Here are three things we learned from the game...

  1. DUTTON DELIVERS

For large portions of the match, visitors Llandudno controlled possession and created an array of chances, hitting the bar in the opening nine minutes.

Twenty year old Lewis Dutton, Airbus' goalkeeper, was in for the fight of his life to keep the visitors out and preserve his clean sheet, and he rose to the challenge.

A number of sensational, acrobatic saves kept his side in the game in the first half; had it not been for him, the victory could have been out of sight by the interval.

The youngster has impressed this season, visibly growing in confidence and ability game by game, is now one of the finest goalkeepers in the Welsh football leagues, and has been a huge part of Airbus' success this season, showing his incredible contribution once again against Llandudno.

2. ADAM DAVIES WILL BE BACK

Adam Davies has has an incredible, unprecedented season in the JD Cymru North, scoring a record 30 goals.

During the match against Llandudno, he suffered a horrific looking injury, a potential leg break following a nasty challenge on the halfway line.

It seems as though Davies will be out for a considerable length of time, but there is no doubt in anyone's mind- he will be back.

His goalscoring form this campaign has shown his natural footballing ability, and Davies will be back to his best once he recovers from injury.

Being a physiotherapist during the day, Adam will know exactly how to maximise his recovery and bring the best version of himself back to The Hollingsworth Group stadium.

3. CHAMPIONS

After a long, grueling, stop-start season, Airbus UK Broughton have finally won the JD Cymru North title, an award that is no less than they deserve.

The Wingmakers have been the best team in the division by some distance, having the greatest attack in the league, whilst having the second tightest defence.

Having lost just one match this season so far, Steve O'Shaughnessy should be proud of all that he has accomplished as manager of Airbus UK Broughton.
