Player Profile: Steve Tomasson



Steve Tomasson joined the Airbus fleet in the summer of 2016, making this his sixth consecutive season at the club.


The club’s number four has history with the Bus, joining on loan for the 2012/13 season.


Tommo, as he is more often referred to by his teammates, leads by example as the Bus’ captain in a team full of experienced operators.


His loyalty and reliability has led to him becoming a true legend at the club and his form this season alongside centre-back partner, Gareth Edwards, has played a gigantic role in the Wingmakers’ success this term.

The skipper played 31 games this campaign, scoring 6 goals, assisting 3 goals and being named Man of the Match on 1 occasion

.

Tomasson, born in Chester, came through the ranks at Wrexham and signed a full-time contract in 2012 during Dean Saunders’ reign as manager.


He made 63 appearances for the club over a four-year spell at the club, scoring two goals.
