Ryan Edwards awarded The Wingmakers Writer Player of the Month for February

Ryan Edwards is a true Airbus legend and has been a standout player in the month of February.

He registered an unbelievably important goal at Penrhyncoch on the 12th of the month that levelled the scoring twenty minutes from time in a game the Bus looked almost destined for defeat.

The Bus’ number 7 was one of Steve O'Shaughnessy’s first signings at the club and six years on, he is still Mr. Reliable for the Wingmakers manager.

Originally starting out at Halkyn United, the playmaker moved to the Wingmakers in the summer of 2006 and stayed at the club for some six years before making the switch to join Neville Powell’s Bangor City. Edwards joined the club two years after their league winning season but during his time at the club, they were never able to replicate the success of the 2010/11 season. He later returned in the Summer of 2016.

Edwards has been an instrumental clog in the Bus’ midfield this campaign, and it is his experience in the middle of the park that the Airbus manager relies upon in the biggest of games.

The balance found between Beau Cornish and Edwards has been great to watch from the stands and that on-pitch relationship grows greater every matchday.
