Airbus UK Broughton defeat the defending champions, Prestatyn Town 7-2 to move onto 33 points and stay top of the league.

The Wingmakers’ goals came from Stephen Tomassen, Beau Cornish, George Peers, Oliver Lanceley, and an Adam Davies hat-trick.

The away side netted through a Ryan Kehoe penalty and a goal in the second half from Jamie Reed.

Airbus dominated the game throughout the majority of the match and that showed with the seven goals, however Prestatyn did have their moments in the 90 minutes and could have scored more if it was for excellent defending from the league leaders.

The result leaves Airbus four points ahead of second place Guilsfield, although the Guils have played a game less.

In the opening minute of the match, George Peers had a shot in the box that went off target.

Moments after, the Wingmakers took the lead as Joseph Palmer whipped in a corner that found Stephen Tomassen in the 18-yard area who knocked it past the keepers right.

In the sixth minute, Wesley Baynes had a shot from outside the penalty area for Prestatyn which Lewis Dutton collected easily.

Five minutes on, Simon Spender whipped in a ball to Adam Davies who slotted it past James Coates for the home-side’s third.

In the 12th minute of the match, Spender crossed in another ball that found The New Saints loanee Beau Cornish as the midfielder headed the opportunity in the net for Steve O’Shaughnessy’s side third of the game.

Airbus got a fourth in the 27th minute when Peers had a chance from just outside the penalty area which found the bottom left corner of the net.

Not too long before the break, Baynes whipped a free-kick from just outside the box for the away side that found Dominic Elsey-McHugh who headed the opportunity over the crossbar.

In the 40th minute, Kai Wallis got brought down in the box by Airbus but neither the referee nor linesman thought the challenge was worth a spot-kick.

On the stroke of half-time, Ryan Edwards took down Mason Blackwell-Jones in the box as the referee then pointed to the spot.

Jamie Kehoe then stepped up and slotted it past Dutton to give Prestatyn a goal.

At the start of the second forty-five, Airbus got their fifth goal, when Peers had a shot in the box that Coates saved. However Davies was there on the rebound to score into an empty net.

In the 63rd minute, Joseph Palmer had a shot from 30-yards out though the ball blasted over the Prestatyn goal.

Two minutes on, it was six for the league leaders after Oli Lanceley got on the end of a through ball and round Coates to tap the chance in the net.

Airbus suddenly went down to ten men in the 73rd minute as Mason Blackwell-Jones ran in on goal for Prestatyn and got completely took out by Callum Humphries with the referee given no other choice but to send off the number 12.

The Seasiders got a second consolation goal in the 77th minute after a great ball from the right found Jamie Reed in the box who hit the chance in the net,

Towards the end of the game, a free-kick taken quickly for Airbus found Jake Eyre, the substitute passed the ball to Davies who tapped home for hat-trick and his 21st goal of the league campaign.
