Adam Davies awarded The Wingmakers Writer Player of the Month for January

Adam Davies has shone this season and in the month of January netted 2 goals in as many games to earn The Wingmakers Writer Player of the Month.

The Bus, due to the COVID Christmas break, did not play their first game of the month until the 22nd of January where they travelled to Ruthin Town.

A 2-1 loss on the day reads a poor overall display from the Wignmakers but Davies' work rate and tenacity up top to chase every last ball, even with the team being a man short following Gareth Edwards' sending off, is as just as much a reason as his goals as to why he is our Player of the Month this time out.

The disappointment of Ruthin was followed up with a 3-1 win against Conwy Borough and saw top scorer, Adam Davies, net twice in the opening 25 minutes to all but earn the Bus the three points on the day.

On both occasions Davies was lethal, with his first being a drilled effort at the near post past a helpless Rory Crowther in the Borough net.

The second showed another quality the big front-man possesses with him sneakily pulling off his defender at the back post and meeting an inch-perfect cross from incoming full-back Ieuan Hewitt.

After the goalscoring run he has been on this season, it would most definitely be the shock of the season if the Airbus man's goals were dry up now.

He has been so emphatic in front of goal this year and must keep defenders up the night before facing him.
