Airbus UK Broughton vs Llandudno: JD Cymru North Preview. Airbus Out To Win The League

Following their 2-0 victory over Prestatyn, and other results going there way, Airbus UK Broughton have the chance to win the JD Cymru North on Friday night, when they welcome second placed Llandudno to The Holingsworth Group stadium.

Only a win will suffice if The Wingmakers want to win the league against their title rivals, but given the form that the hosts enter the match in, there should be no issues for them in getting the victory.

Steve O'Shaughnessy's side, in recent weeks, have shown that they have what it takes to be champions of the division.

A strong spirited 4-1 comeback victory over Llanrhaeadr in harsh conditions two weeks ago showed that Airbus have the resilience needed to overcome the odds and win when their backs are against the wall; this is a true sign of champions.

During the same gameweek, Llandudno limped to a 1-1 draw against Holyhead Hotspur, showing a stark contrast in the ability to overcome the odds from both teams.

The Wingmakers have scored more goals than anyone in the league this season, and Adam Davies will relish the chance to score his 31st goal of the season, and the goal to win his side the JD Cymru North title.

The forward spoke to us after the Prestatyn game and could not hide his excitement at the prospect of winning the league against Llandudno, so a focused and ready Adam Davies is expected to be seen on Friday night.

LLANDUDNO

The Seasiders, who emerged as title rivals to Airbus following the winter break, have found themselves in impressive form in recent months.

Having won five out of their last six matches, they have pushed Airbus all the way this season, yet the two points they dropped at Holyhead cost them dearly in their title push.

Should they have won that match, they would not be in the situation that they are currently in- a situation that could see them lose the title against the team that are about to win it.

They have scored 47 goals so far this campaign, compared to the 79 of The Wingmakers.

Having netted just 17 times more than Adam Davies alone, it is clear that the reason Llandudno will not win the league is their attack, given that they have the best defence in the division.

The visitors will be tough to break down for Airbus, but should not trouble Lewis Dutton's goal too much when attacking on Friday night.
